What You’ll Do
  • Conduct medical history and physical assessments to promote health and prevent illness.
  • Provide education and guidance to team members on communicable diseases and wellness initiatives.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical practice.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure team members’ safety and recovery.
  • Respond quickly to incidents and emergencies to provide first aid and other emergency care, such as CPR, as needed.
Work Environment
  • Temperature-controlled manufacturing environment with regular exposure to cold.
  • Occasional exposure to vibration.
  • Loud noise levels typical of manufacturing operations.
How Military Experience Fits

Your military experience may be considered in lieu of some experience requirements outlined below. Equivalent civilian experience will also be considered.

  • Army: 68W (Combat Medic Specialist), 68C (Practical Nursing Specialist), 68D (Operating Room Specialist), 68X (Behavioral Health Specialist)
  • Air Force: 4N0X1 (Aerospace Medical Service), 4N1X1 (Surgical Service), 4A0X1 (Health Services Management)
  • Naval Corps: HM (Hospital Corpsman), HM-8404 (Field Medical Service Technician)
  • Marine Corps: HM (Hospital Corpsman – assigned to Marine units), medical support roles aligned to Fleet Marine Force
  • Coast Guard: HS (Health Services Technician)
Requirements (Must Haves)
  • Education: Current unrestricted state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of nursing experience is preferred but not required. Occupational Health experience is not required. We will train on the job!
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and comfort with electronic medical documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to get along with others.
  • Special Skills: Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk unassisted through the plant, quickly respond to medical emergencies, climb stairs, assess team members swiftly, and perform CPR if required; ensure team members and supervisors are following prescribed modified restricted duty requirements.
Compensation

LPN Compensation Range: $23.08‑$38.46

RN Compensation Range: $30.29‑$51.44

The posted compensation range reflects Tyson Foods Inc. national average range for this role. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including geographic location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
