Job summary

Paris Regional Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Analyst, Quality to join our team in Paris, TX. The RN will implement plan-of-care interventions, document care, monitor patient status, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule, full-time position.

The role emphasizes patient safety, quality improvement, and compliance with healthcare standards while supporting staff development and innovative care delivery.

Qualifications

  • Current state RN license.
  • Associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • BSN or MSN preferred depending on role.
  • Three to five years of clinical practice may be preferred for senior roles.

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other nursing activities.
  • Documents patient care provided in the medical record.
  • Monitors and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living and promotes education to patients and families.

Essential Functions
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
  • Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
  • Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.
  • Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.
Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a associates degree from an accredited nursing school.

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or Quality strongly preferred.
  • Minimum Work Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years diverse clinical practice in an acute care environment required.
  • Previous performance improvement and/or large scale project management experience required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • ASLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certification preferred.
