Job summary

Paris Regional is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Analyst, Quality, to contribute to high-quality patient care. The RN will perform plan-of-care interventions, document care, and communicate patient status across the care team, while collaborating with multidisciplinary staff to ensure smooth transfers and discharge planning.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in nursing with RN licensure, and prefer BSN/MSN credentials.

Qualifications

  • Current state RN license and associates degree from accredited nursing school.
  • BSN preferred; MSN strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years diverse clinical practice in an acute care environment.
  • Performance improvement and/or large-scale project management experience required.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
  • ASLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and clinical treatments.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Monitors and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
  • Coordinates across disciplines for transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
  • Provides education appropriate to age, culture, and condition.

Essential Functions
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Information

Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.

Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.

Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a associatesdegree from an accredited nursing school.

Additional requirements include:

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or Quality strongly preferred.

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years diverse clinical practice in an acute care environment required.
  • Previous performance improvement and/or large scale project management experience required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred
  • ASLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certification preferred
