Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Ambulatory Surgery (Rocky Mountain Surgery Center) role. This variable shift, PRN position provides perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical setting.

The RN applies the nursing process, responds to emergencies, and coordinates care with providers and leaders to ensure safe patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• The RN uses the nursing process to deliver care according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Responds to life-threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• Organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.
