Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center, Inc. in Pocatello, ID is seeking a day shift, full-time Registered Nurse for the Same Day Surgery Recovery Room (PACU).

The RN will provide patient care using the nursing process, coordinate care with physicians and care teams, and respond to life-threatening situations with prompt interventions. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program and current Idaho RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred: OR and CVOR experience; CNOR.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• Respond to life-threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• Organize care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.
