Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID seeks a day shift, full-time Registered Nurse in Ambulatory Surgery (Rocky Mountain Surgery Center) to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.

You will support life-saving interventions, coordinate with the OR team, and ensure compliance with BLS/ACLS, Idaho RN licensure, and CNOR preferences for our surgical services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred OR and CVOR experience.
• CNOR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• The RN responds to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• The RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.
