Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID is seeking a night shift, full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Orthopedic Unit. You will deliver patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and uphold hospital policies.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Idaho RN license, BLS within 14 days, ACLS within one year, and preferably 1 year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within one year of hire date and maintained.
• Preferred: minimum of 1 year acute care experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse utilizes the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience in order to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• The RN responds to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• The RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.
