Job summary

Great River Health in Iowa seeks an experienced registered nurse to join the Obstetrics Unit. You will deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to support adolescent, adult, and newborn patients.

This role offers a night shift (7:00pm–7:30am) with a minimum hiring wage from $35.79 per hour and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates, plus a robust benefits package including health, retirement, PTO, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Hospital-based nursing experience within the last five years preferred.
• Labor & Delivery and Newborn care experience required.
• Valid RN license in Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care using the nursing process in obstetrics; assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care.
• Coordinates with the health team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Provides care to obstetrics patients including adolescents, adults, and newborns.

Job Description

Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high quality care to the following patient populations in the Obstetrics Unit: Adolescent and Adult Females, Neonates, Medical/Surgical, including inpatient and outpatient.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) required.
• Prefer bachelor's degree in nursing or another related field.
• Hospital based nursing Health care experience within the last five years preferred.
• Labor & Delivery, & Newborn care experience required.
• Maintains valid licensure/certification/registration.
• Registered Nurse Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON) (United States of America) Required
• Basic Fetal Monitoring within 1 year from hire.
• NRP within 1 year of hire.
• PALS within 1 year from hire.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within second year of hire.
• STABLE must be completed at first class offering.

Preferred

IBCIC preferred, must obtain within 1 year of hire.
