Job summary

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse for our 48-bed IMC/Medical-Surgical unit. Nurses are cross-trained to care for telemetry and IMC patients, including those requiring chronic ventilator management and insulin drips.

You'll work with Charge RNs who provide hands-on guidance, mentorship, and clinical support while enjoying flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across routine to highly complex needs.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify health concerns, and develop care plans.
• Coordinate interventions with other nursing team members and respond to evolving care needs.

Unit Highlights

Join our 48-bed IMC/Medical-Surgical unit where nurses are cross‑trained to care for both telemetry and IMC patients, including those requiring chronic ventilator management and insulin drips. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced acute care RNs looking to build their skills and transition into higher‑acuity nursing.

Our Charge RNs are out of the numbers, allowing them to provide hands‑on support, mentorship, and clinical guidance throughout each shift. You'll work alongside a collaborative team with experienced leadership while enjoying flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.

• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

This position has a hiring range of USD $36.50 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
