Job summary

Civic Center Health and Rehabilitation, Birmingham, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care in our long-term care and rehabilitation facility. The RN will support rehabilitation plans, collaborate with the clinical team, and ensure the highest standards of resident care.

We offer a full-time night shift (11pm–7am) with shift differential, competitive wages, health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, 401(k) with match, and a $12,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric and rehabilitation care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care to residents in a long-term care and rehabilitation setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document residents' health conditions and progress.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with facility protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding care plans and health conditions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Foster a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for residents.
• Supervise and mentor nursing assistants to ensure quality care delivery.
