Job summary

THRYVE Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide total nursing care for residents on the assigned shift, supervise staff, delegate tasks, and uphold facility policies and procedures.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans, administer medications, monitor residents’ conditions, educate families, and support staff development while maintaining a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
• No history of abuse convictions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow facility policies and support quality care.
• Able to work with residents of varying ages and medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide total care for residents on the assigned unit during the shift.
• Collaborate with allied health team to develop and implement care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments and evaluate effectiveness.
• Maintain an environment supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
• Educate residents and families about care plans and procedures.
• Monitor team performance and support staff development and evaluations.
• Assign and oversee nursing duties to ensure tasks are completed.
• Stay current on facility procedures and participate in in-service training.
• Identify and respond to changes in residents’ conditions.
• Accurately document care and changes in condition per guidelines.
• Serve as a resource for staff and provide clinical support.

• Maintain an environment that supports residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
• Educate residents and families about care plans, treatments, and procedures.
• Monitor team performance and support staff development, evaluations, and corrective actions as needed.
• Assign and oversee nursing duties to ensure tasks are completed appropriately and efficiently.
• Stay current on facility procedures and participate in in-service and continuing education.
• Identify and respond to significant changes in residents’ conditions.
• Accurately document care provided, changes in condition, and other relevant information per facility guidelines.
• Act as a charge nurse and serve as a resource for staff, offering clinical support and decision-making guidance.
• Follow all facility and departmental safety protocols.

Skills and Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
• No history of abuse convictions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to follow facility policies and support quality care
• Must be able to work effectively with residents of varying ages and medical needs
• Must meet physical job requirements, including occasional lifting, bending, and standing
