Job summary

THRYVE Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care to residents in a skilled nursing facility. The RN oversees staff, delegates tasks, administers medications, and ensures adherence to facility policies during night shifts.

Responsibilities include developing care plans with the health team, educating residents and families, documenting changes, and guiding staff through clinical decisions while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program.
• Active RN license in the state of Illinois (IL).
• No history of abuse convictions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow facility policies and support quality care.
• Ability to work with residents of varying ages and medical needs.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting, bending and standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide total care for residents on assigned unit during scheduled shift.
• Collaborate with allied health team to develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy and evaluate effectiveness.
• Maintain an environment supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
• Educate residents and families about care plans, treatments, and procedures.
• Monitor team performance and support staff development and evaluations.
• Oversee nursing duties to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Stay current on facility procedures and participate in ongoing education.
• Respond to significant changes in residents’ conditions quickly.
• Document care provided and changes in condition per guidelines.
• Act as charge nurse and provide clinical support to staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assign and oversee nursing duties to ensure tasks are completed appropriately and efficiently
• Stay current on facility procedures and participate in in-service and continuing education

• Accurately document care provided, changes in condition, and other relevant information per facility guidelines
• Act as a charge nurse and serve as a resource for staff, offering clinical support and decision-making guidance
• Follow all facility and departmental safety protocols

Skills and Qualifications
