Job summary

Mental Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a regular full-time clinical role in San Jose, CA. The position provides direct client care and oversight of nursing activities in a behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in California required.
• Valid CA driver’s license and auto insurance per contract requirements.
• Experience in mental health and/or substance abuse services preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide injections, medication support, diagnostic reviews, case consult, crisis intervention, and targeted case management services.
• Accurate and timely documentation as required and meet minimum billable requirements.
• Collaborate with the treatment team, manage medication coaching and delivery, and respond to medical emergencies.
• Oversee nursing policies, procedures, audits, and liaison with the program psychiatrist.
• Shift coverage including part of the on-call team.
• Provide field-based services as required and transport clients as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide operational oversight of nursing and provide direct client care including physical health monitoring. In the absence of a nurse, administer medications, assess symptoms, and evaluate patient progress.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide injections, medication support, diagnostic reviews, case consult, crisis intervention, and targeted case management services to assist clients with basic needs and symptom management.
• A-ccurate and timely documentation as contractually required and meet minimum billable requirements for direct client services.
• In collaboration with the treatment team, participates in the organization and management of medication coaching and delivery to clients, as well as integrating medication administration into treatment plans. Responds appropriately to medical emergencies.
• Dispense and account for prescribed medication, assist psychiatrist in administering and evaluating prescribed medication and arrange lab work according to protocol.
• Oversee nursing policies, procedures, audits and liaison with program psychiatrist.
• Shift coverage including part of the on-call team.
• Provide field-based services as required by program and client need.
• Maintain confidentiality of client’s care.
• Participate in scheduled program meetings.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
• Transport clients in program or personal vehicle, as required.
• Provide services to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) clients enrolled in the SUD Program.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed Registered Nurse in California required.

• Experience providing mental health and/or substance abuse services preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.
