Job summary

Parkview Healthcare & Rehab Center in Osborne, Kansas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate nursing care to our residents. You will work with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality clinical services and support daily living activities.

Responsibilities include medication administration, resident assessments, and collaborating with the RN Supervisor to ensure safety, rights, and comfort for residents. We value mentorship, teamwork, and a caring bedside manner.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Caring and empathetic personality and demeanor.

• Ability to work scheduled shift.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Enhance clinical care and residents' quality of life while protecting resident rights.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Check residents daily to ensure prescribed treatment is administered and assess their physical and emotional status.
• Keep the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.
• Implement recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nurses.
• Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, dressings, bags, and specimen collection as per policy.
• Complete all RN required record-keeping forms/charts on admission, discharge, transfer, etc., and file appropriately.
• Give and receive nursing reports at shift change hours.
• Investigate complaints and grievances and report to RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• Present a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adhere to our policies and standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of our residents. And ensuring that all resident rights are protected.
• Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.
• Checking all residents daily to ensure that prescribed treatment is being properly administered by nursing personnel/assistants and to evaluate their physical and emotional status.
• Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.
• Implementing recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nurses.
• Administering professional services such as: catheterization, tube feeding, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, taking blood, sputum, and urine specimens, etc., as established by the facility’s policies and procedures.
• Completing all Registered Nurse RN required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, discharge, transfer, etc. File in the resident’s chart and/or forward to the appropriate department.
• Giving and receiving nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
• Investigating complaints and grievances and making necessary oral/written reports to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• Presenting in a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adhering to our policies and standards.
