Job summary

Encore Parkside in Delaware is seeking a dedicated RN to provide direct nursing care to residents, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and staff. A strong emphasis on documentation, safety, and patient education guides daily practice.

You will work within a supportive team, participate in care planning, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining a patient-centered approach and professionalism on shift.

Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license required.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Ability to supervise staff and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents per physician orders and care plans.
• Assess residents' status and document appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments safely.
• Monitor for changes and report to nursing leadership.
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs on the unit or shift.
• Ensure infection control and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as needed.
• Maintain accurate records (MARs, TARs, incident reports).
• Educate residents and families about care and conditions.
• Adhere to attendance, scheduling, and block schedule commitments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and care plans.
• Assess residents’ physical, psychosocial, and functional status and document appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report to physician and nursing leadership.
• Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs on assigned unit or shift.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in care planning, shift reports, and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as needed.
• Accurately complete medical records, MARs, TARs, and incident reports.
• Educate residents and families regarding care, treatments, and health conditions.
• Adhere to attendance, scheduling, and block schedule commitments as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Delaware
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Ability to supervise staff and work collaboratively with the healthcare team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
