Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide primary health care, monitor health conditions, plan long‑term care needs, administer medication, manage daily use of medical equipment, perform minor medical procedures, and advise patients on illness, care and continued duty of care.

Responsibilities

• Train new and existing staff on state‑regulated trainings such as medication administration, wound care, CPR/First Aid, etc.
• Conduct routine site visits: assessments, counseling on medication administration, and progress documentation using Therap.
• Ensure all individuals receive quality, individualized health‑care management for optimal health.
• Maintain health‑care documentation and reporting in compliance with licensing, contracting requirements and organizational policy.
• Promote teamwork and facilitate appropriate involvement of team members to enhance quality health‑care supports.
• Act as a health/medical resource for staff, training and delegation of tasks.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• Proven at least 1 year of nursing experience (schooling may be included).
• In‑depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Current auto liability insurance.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual, physical, and behavioral disabilities.
