The role supports post-op CABG and cardiac patients during nights, with full-time hours. Nurses provide direct patient care, education, and care coordination in a 23-bed telemetry unit.

The ideal candidate holds an active Kentucky RN license, a BSN or ADN, and BLS with ACLS/PALS/NRP credentials as required. Pursuit of BSN within 5 years is encouraged for ADN holders.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• ADN with fewer than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months and obtain the degree within 5 years.
• Basic life support (BLS) required; ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, assess and provide direct patient care on 4H telemetry unit.
• Conduct nursing rounds, assessments and treatments.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers and discharges; educate patients and families.
• Engage in care coordination and individualized treatment planning; uphold evidence-based nursing practice.
