Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. Shifts include 7AM-7PM, 7PM-7AM, 7AM-3PM, 3PM-11PM, and 11PM-7AM, with opportunities to provide compassionate nursing care and health education to residents.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, you will supervise CNAs, coordinate patient care, administer medications, transcribe orders, conduct assessments, and help develop care plans.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care/services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Conduct assessments of the residents and notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the residents’ assessment and the development of a care plan.
