Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team. Shifts include 7AM-7PM, 7PM-7AM, 7AM-3PM, 3PM-11PM, and 11PM-7AM.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the LPN will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, ensure safe medication administration, and contribute to care plans. We offer a supportive environment, uniforms provided, benefits, and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license is required.
• Flexible work schedule and shifts available.
• Experience supervising CNAs and other staff desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident's condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the residents' assessment and the development of care plans.
