Job summary

Journey Healthcare in Ohio is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic care team. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care in a long-term care setting, directing daily activities of LPNs and CNAs under established policies.

The ideal candidate will hold a nursing degree, an active RN license, and CPR certification; prior long-term care experience is preferred. Journey Healthcare offers a supportive environment and benefits including free life insurance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs per regulations and facility policies.
• Follows nursing model to promote holistic resident care.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures by nursing staff.
• Participates in resident admissions, discharges and transfers as required.
• Assess changes in residents’ status and notify physician and family with documentation.
• Transcribe physician orders to medical record and carry out orders.

As an RN at Journey Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
