Job summary

Freedom Village Brandywine is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for evening shifts in a skilled nursing setting.

The role focuses on supervising nursing staff, delivering direct care, documenting care, and communicating changes to physicians and families. PA RN license required with geriatric LTC experience preferred. Strong computer skills and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN with a current license in Pennsylvania.
• At least 1 year experience in geriatric nursing Long Term Care (LTC) a plus.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Warm, friendly, and caring manner at first impression.
• Effective communication with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on your shift.
• Administer direct care as necessary.
• Give and receive shift reports.
• Round and assure that proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
• Keep physicians and families aware of changes in resident’s condition.
• Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
• Respond to resident emergency call system. Interface with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services.
• Accompanies physicians when making rounds.
• Encourage restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.

We are in need of a part-time RN for evening shift

Salary Range: $40-45/hr plus differential Shift Differential: $4/hr. for Weekday Evenings and Nights, and $6/hr. for all weekend shifts!

Actual salary may fall outside of the posted salary range as it is dependent on skills and experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN)is responsible for the overall nursing care/service, and management of all personnel on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated.
