Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Renal unit. This 28-bed floor treats post-transplant and renal patients and offers self-scheduling, strong leadership, and growth opportunities.

The role requires an Associate degree in nursing and an active RN license (Texas or compact). Responsibilities include delivering care via the Nursing Process, patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, with emphasis on safety and seamless transfers

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• RN license (Texas or compact) upon hire.
• One-year RN experience; RN residency acceptable.
• BCLS (AHA) prior to providing independent patient care; quarterly refreshers.
• CPI training within 90 days of hire.

Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg Renal Dept Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. Fort Worth TX 76104 Work hours: Full Time (7P-7A) for 36 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday requirements

• Renal Med/surg (28 bed) provides care to a wide variety of Post transplant (kidney) and Med/surg Renal patients who are admitted to this floor for complications after a transplant or their body is rejecting the transplant ie. kidney failure or infections. Our unit population, in addition to post transplant patients, encompasses complex patients with renal diagnosis, both chronic and acute, often with multiple comorbidities, and may be initiating Hemodialysis in our neighboring Hemodialysis unit on the same floor. We also serve the patient population that requires peritoneal dialysis.

Here’s What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• BCLS (AHA) prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• CPI training within 90 days of hire
• 2+ years of strong Med/surg or Renal Transplant RN experience in acute care setting including charge/preceptor skills (preferred)

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
