Job summary

Ascension Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital in Wichita, KS, seeks an experienced RN for night, full-time coverage. You will lead direct nursing care, develop patient care plans, and communicate changes to the clinical team to ensure safe, high-quality treatment.

You will coordinate across disciplines to create a seamless patient experience and collaborate with the team to prepare patients and families for discharge when ready. A Diploma in nursing and RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required or equivalent licensure.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead the delivery of compassionate, direct nursing care by following established protocols to ensure every patient receives high-quality, safe treatment.

• Create and manage comprehensive patient care plans, monitoring and communicating changes in condition to ensure the clinical team can respond effectively to patient needs.

• Support a seamless patient experience by acting as the primary coordinator across all medical disciplines, ensuring care is well-integrated and collaborative.

• Coordinate safe and efficient discharge transitions by collaborating with the healthcare team to prepare patients and families for the next step in their recovery journey.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
