Job summary

Longview Rehabilitation Hospital in Longview, TX, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Rehab on a full-time night shift. You will assess patients, initiate nursing interventions, document medical necessity, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality rehab care.

The ideal candidate holds a current RN license with a BSN, and has rehab/acute care experience. BLS required within 30 days; ACLS/PALS within six months.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of rehab and acute care experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Attention to detail in clinical documentation is essential.
