Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Rehab unit at Longview Rehabilitation Hospital in Longview, TX. This full-time days position emphasizes delivering high-quality patient care within an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery and discharge planning.

The ideal candidate holds a state RN license, a BSN, and BLS with ACLS/PALS in process; rehab/acute care experience is preferred and continuing education is supported.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of rehab and acute care experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Attention to detail in clinical documentation is essential.

What We're Looking For

This role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of rehab and acute care experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
