Longview Rehabilitation Hospital in Longview, Texas, is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for rehab care. You will perform patient assessments, initiate nursing interventions, and ensure accurate documentation while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires a state RN license and a bachelor's degree in nursing. BLS is required within 30 days, with ACLS and PALS within six months. Rehab and acute care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year rehab and acute care experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide patient care tailored to condition and age.
• Document medical necessity accurately in the patient record.
• Develop and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Conduct timely QI assessments.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation.

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • One year of rehab and acute care experience preferred
  • ASLS certification preferred
