St. Luke’s Cancer Institute in Boise is seeking a Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to float among Treasure Valley sites (Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Fruitland). This full-time (0.9 FTE) position offers day shifts with four 9-hour days, no nights or weekends, and a sign-on bonus for new hires.

Certification pay (OCN) is available; the role combines direct patient care with triage and interprofessional collaboration to support patients and families through cancer treatment.

Qualifikationen

• Oncology experience preferred; 3 years RN experience acceptable in lieu of oncology background.

What You Can Expect:

• The Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) role is a Floatposition
• Floats between St. Luke’s Cancer Institute Treasure Valley sites (Boise, Meridian, Nampa, and Fruitland)
• Full-time (0.9 FTE): day shift – no nights, weekends, or St. Luke’s observed holidays
• Schedule: 4 days a week x 9-hour shifts
• Sign-on bonus eligible for new hires!
• Certification pay available (ex. OCN)
• Utilizes strong critical thinking and assessment skills to triage calls and evaluate patients of all ages undergoing treatment
• Promotes a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness while integrating technical skills, scientific knowledge, and a caring attitude both in the clinic and through the triage process to aid those living with cancer and their families
• Radiation Oncology Primary Nursing:
  • Offers medical guidance and education while providing excellent care as an interprofessional team
  • Works closely with providers, navigators, pharmacists, patient financial advocates, and other disciplines
  • Evaluates patients and support the physician with patient care
• Assists in monitoring and caring for CT simulation and radiation procedure patients
• When covering the Boise clinic site, initiates IV's and monitors contrast patients

Qualifications:

• Education: Nursing Degree
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; oncology experience strongly preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of RN experience in lieu of oncology background
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute
• Preferred: Radiation Oncology/Oncology experience, OCN certification and/or strong assessment skills
