Job summary

St. Luke’s Cancer Institute in Boise seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Chemotherapy Infusion Center team. The CIC RN administers high‑risk medications like chemotherapy and immunotherapy, manages blood products, fluids, and injections, and collaborates across oncology departments to deliver patient-centered care.

• Provide hands-on nursing care for oncology patients by administering high‑risk medications such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
• Administer blood products, fluids, and injections in the CIC.
• Cross-train to other oncology departments and support patient care as needed.

Our St. Luke’s Cancer Institute (SLCI) clinics are dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Patients and their families have trusted St. Luke’s Cancer Institute for more than 50 years for advanced, compassionate care. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the‑art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting‑edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. St. Luke’s holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program’s commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care.

What You Can Expect:

• Full-time (0.9 FTE)
• Schedule: day shift, 4 x 9’s
• Rotating holiday schedule: 1 holiday a year (St. Luke’s observes 6 major holidays)
• The CIC RNprovides hands on nursing care for the oncology population by administering high-risk medications such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy in the CIC
  • Our Boise CIC location has 24 chemo chairs/beds and is open from 0630-1800
  • The CIC also administers blood products, fluids, and injections
• Cross train to other departmentsin oncology
• Sign-on bonus eligible for new hires!
• Certification pay available (ex. OCN)

Qualifications:

• Education: Nursing Degree
• Experience: One (1) + years’ RN experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
• Preferred: Oncology experience, OCN certification, and/or ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification
