The position leads the Medical Staff Quality Assessment Program and ensures policies are updated with regulatory changes. A nursing or related background with RN licensure is required, with Lean Six Sigma and clinical quality experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, statistics, healthcare, business or related field.
• Masters Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Registered Professional Nurse required.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or other healthcare quality/patient safety certs preferred.

Position SummaryPlans, coordinates and implements the quality management and improvement programs for the hospital. Monitors and provides assistance with quality assurance and compliance functions. To be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Medical Staff Quality Assessment Program. Microcomputer skills preferred. Proven interaction and communication (oral, writing, presentation) skills to effectively communicate (oral and written) with hospital staff, physicians, and regulatory agents and work cooperatively with same. Demonstrated competence, clinical expertise, and sound professional judgement. Ability to use effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond to changing workloads and work environment. Demonstrated ability to use effective analytical and critical thinking skills to problem-solve, make critical decisions, and meet departmental and organizational needs.
