Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a qualified professional to plan, coordinate and implement quality management and improvement programs at Kraft Center. You will monitor quality assurance functions, ensure standards are met, and direct the Medical Staff Quality Assessment Program on a daily basis.

Role requires RN licensure, a bachelor’s in a related field, and lean six sigma or similar certifications preferred. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher in a healthcare or related field with RN licensure.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent quality certifications preferred.
  • Experience in accreditation and quality improvement in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and implement hospital quality management programs.
  • Monitor compliance and update policies for regulatory changes.
  • Direct day-to-day operation of the Medical Staff Quality Assessment Program.
  • Communicate technical and clinical data to staff and regulators.

Job description

To be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Medical Staff Quality Assessment Program. Ensures policies and procedures are monitored and updated to include regulatory changes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in nursing, Statistics, Healthcare, Business, or a related field. Masters Degree in Nursing Preferred. Registered Professional Nurse Required. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or other health care quality or patient safety certifications preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in accreditation, process improvement, quality management and/or project management in a clinical environment.

Skills

Knowledge of regulatory standards and survey processes. Knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to gather, analyze and communicate technical and clinical data. Microcomputer skills preferred. Proven interaction and communication (oral, writing, presentation) skills to effectively communicate (oral and written) with hospital staff, physicians, and regulatory agents and work cooperatively with same. Demonstrated competence, clinical expertise, and sound professional judgement. Ability to use effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond to changing workloads and work environment. Demonstrated ability to use effective analytical and critical thinking skills to problem-solve, make critical decisions, and meet departmental and organizational needs. Attention to details and the ability to perform work accurately, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

Pay Range: $104,374.40 - $130,478.40

The posted pay range reflects the compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE)
