Job summary

Butler Hospital, part of Care New England Health System, is seeking a Staff Nurse for the night shift. This role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments and requires direct patient care in line with ANA standards and RI Nurse Practice Act.

The nurse will participate in treatment planning, coordinate care during emergencies, supervise as Charge Nurse on shift, administer medications, and support discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RI nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.

We are offering a sign on bonus of $10,000 for new hire Staff Nurse, Night shift only. The first half is paid at 6 months and the second half will be paid at one year of employment.
