Job summary

St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medicine PCU at Trinity Health Ann Arbor. The role includes Day, Evening, and Night shifts in a progressive care unit focusing on pulmonary, renal, GDM, chemical dependency, and multi-system disease care.

Full-time and part-time, every other weekend and every other holiday requirements apply for some positions. BSN preferred; RN licensure and BLS required; ACLS for specific departments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs.
• Experience and readiness to work in a progressive care unit.
• BSN preferred for future development and compliance timelines.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized plan of care.
• Uses teach back methodology to educate patient and family.
• Actively seeks to prevent potential hospital acquired conditions.
• Effectively communicates patient status, priority goals and interventions during consultations, rounds and handoffs.
• Follows all HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Behaves in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals.
