Job summary

Valley View Regional Medical Center is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem, as-needed shifts. You will perform nursing interventions, document care, monitor patient status, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Applicants must hold a current Arizona license or compact license with endorsement, and an Associate's Degree in nursing (BSN preferred). BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.

• Arizona state license or compact license with Arizona endorsement is required

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection and other clinical treatments
• Documents patient care provided
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient and family
• Assists patients with activities of daily living
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and family and provides education
• Advocates for patient's physical and emotional well-being
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education
• Maintains regular attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants Must have a current Arizona State License or Compact License with Arizona endorsement and possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school, BSN preferred. Additional requirements include:
