Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5A NICU in Lexington, KY. The role is PRN with day shift coverage, focusing on high‑risk neonates from 28 weeks to term. The RN will provide direct patient care, perform rounds, and support admissions, transfers and discharges.

The ideal candidate holds Kentucky RN licensure, a BSN or ADN with a clear path to a BSN, and required certifications (BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as needed). This position is part-time and located on site in the NICU.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Kentucky or work permit.
• BSN or ADN with pathway to BSN within 5 years if applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required.

In this role, you’ll coordinate, ensure, and provide direct patient care while creating an environment rooted in dignity, respect, and empathy. You will use your clinical expertise and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for patients across the lifespan. As a **clinical nurse**, you’ll spend the majority of your time (>50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care through: -Conducting nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments -Facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges -Providing patient and family-centered education -Coordinating care and developing individualized treatment plans **REQUIREMENTS:** -Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky -Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college/university or an associate degree with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience required.
