Job summary

Saint Luke's North in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Perianesthesia RN to join the Pre-Op/PACU team. You will provide pre-procedural and post-procedural care for inpatients and outpatients in the Main Operating Room, hospital-based GI suites, and select radiology cases. The Work: FT- Days.

The call response time is 30 minutes. Requires less than 1 year of applicable experience, BLS certification, and an Associate Degree as a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

• Provides pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Utilizes the nursing process.
• Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
• Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Registered Nurse.

Surgical specialties seen include Bariatrics, ENT, General, Gynecology/Obstetrics, Spinal Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Plastics, Podiatry, Urology, Urology-Gynecology, Vascular, and Robotics. Procedural specialties seen include Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Cardiology, and Interventional Radiology.
