Job summary

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. You will provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients undergoing orthopedic, total joints, GYN, urology, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology and spine procedures.

This part-time day position runs 9:00 am to 9:30 pm with 12-hour shifts and a 30-minute call back. You will use the nursing process, coordinate care for a group of patients, and supervise other care staff to ensure safe,

Qualifications

• Applicable Experience: 1 year ACLS either American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Basic Life Support required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Registered Nurse (MO) with an Associate Degree (NURSYS).

Responsibilities

• Provides pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatients and outpatients.
• Utilizes the nursing process for patient care.
• Performs patient care, delegates tasks and supervises other care staff.
• Coordinates the plan of care for assigned patients with the health care team.
• Demonstrates proficiency and follows policies and procedures.

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. In this position, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients with various conditions and acuity levels undergoing various procedures including orthopedics, total joints, sports medicine, GYN, urology, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, and some spine.

Shift Details

This is PT Day position (9am until 9:30 pm) 12 hour shifts. This position takes call. The call back requirement is 30 minutes.

The Work

• Provides pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Utilizes the nursing process.
• Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and supervising other patient care staff.
• Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Applicable Experience: 1 year Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS) Associate Degree
