Job summary

Saint Luke's North Hospital - Barry Road in Kansas City, MO is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team. The RN will assist with Caesarean Sections, Orthopedics, Urology, Gynecology, ENT, and General Surgery, with Robotics training to come.

This full-time day shift role includes call coverage and weekend rotation. The ideal candidate holds an RN license with at least 1 year of applicable experience and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• 1 year of applicable nursing experience in acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide safe intra-operative patient care.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other patient care staff.
• Coordinate the plan of care for a group of patients.
• Consult with the health care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.

The Work:

Accountable for utilizing the nursing process, safety and efficiency Care of the patient in the intra-operative phase of care Delegates patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients Consults with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures

Job Requirements:

Applicable Experience: 1 year Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Various Associate Degree
