Job summary

Saratoga Surgical Center in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Pre-Op / PACU Registered Nurse to guide patients through surgical care in a supportive outpatient environment.

You will provide compassionate nursing care, monitor anesthesia recovery, document assessments, and collaborate with physicians and families to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 1+ year of Pre-Op/PACU experience preferred.
• PALS and/or CNOR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to pre-op and post-op patients.
• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Obtain and document complete nursing histories and assessments.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes promptly.
• Administer medications safely and accurately.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and care team.
• Supervisor support for non-licensed staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records.
• Support teamwork and cross-training opportunities.
• Adhere to nursing standards and center policies.
