Job summary

DOCTORS OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER, LLC in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse for a day shift. You will provide high-quality nursing care before and after procedures, monitor anesthesia recovery, and document patient histories.

Minimum of 1+ year PACU/pre-op experience with BLS/ACLS certification. CNOR/PALS are a plus. Join a collaborative surgical team with a focus on patient safety and education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 1+ years PACU, pre-op, or perioperative experience.
• PALS and/or CNOR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients.
• Monitor patients recovering from general, regional, or local anesthesia.
• Obtain and document complete nursing histories and assessments.
• Closely monitor vital signs and patient status, identifying and reporting any changes.
• Administer medications safely and accurately.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and care team members.
• Supervise and support non-licensed clinical staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records.
