Job summary

Chattanooga Pain Center is hiring a Pre-Admissions RN to ensure patients are medically optimized and fully informed before procedures. You will conduct pre-op assessments, review histories, and coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to support seamless surgical experiences.

Ideal candidates hold a Tennessee RN license with BLS, are experienced in Pre-Admissions, and can educate patients with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state) and BLS certification.
• Experience in Pre-Admissions or Pre Op.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-admission assessments for ambulatory surgery patients.
• Review medical histories, medications, and necessary clearances to ensure surgical readiness.
• Educate patients on pre-op and post-op care, setting them up for a smooth recovery.
• Coordinate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide compassionate, patient-centered support.
