Job summary

Chattanooga Pain Center is seeking a compassionate Pre-Admissions RN to prepare patients for procedures, ensure medical optimization, and educate patients for successful outcomes.

You will conduct pre-op assessments, review histories, and coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state) and BLS certification.
• Experience in Pre-Admissions or Pre Op is required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-admission assessments for ambulatory surgery patients.
• Review medical histories, medications, and necessary clearances for surgical readiness.
• Educate patients on pre-op and post-op care for a smooth recovery.
• Coordinate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams to optimize care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide compassionate, patient-centered support.

About the Role:

As a Pre-Admissions RN, you will play a crucial role in preparing patients for their upcoming procedures by ensuring they are medically optimized and fully informed.
