Job summary

Chattanooga Pain Surgery Center in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Full-Time Perioperative RN to join our surgical team. This role supports preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 3 years perioperative, preop, postop or OR nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement patient care during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Assess patients’ physical and emotional needs and provide nursing interventions.
• Administer medications, monitor vitals, assist with anesthesia.
• Maintain sterile, safe surgical environment and infection control.
• Communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team.
• Document care accurately per facility policies.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development.

Working closely with our experienced surgical team, you will contribute to ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the surgical team to plan and implement patient care during the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, providing appropriate nursing interventions.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with anesthesia administration.
• Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies.
• Participate in continuous education and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills
