USPI's Chattanooga Pain Center in Hixson, TN is seeking a Full-Time PreOp/PACU RN to deliver continuous, quality nursing care from admission to discharge, with focus on patient safety and comfort. The role may involve assisting physicians in procedure rooms and supporting anesthesia recovery processes.

Ideal candidates have an accredited RN degree, current state RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years PACU or critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care, evaluating the patient's condition with emphasis on safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Deliver total care to patients emerging from anesthesia and prepare for discharge.

Job Description:

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
