Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Evansville Orthopedic Hospital in Newburgh, IN seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Pre-Operative Services department. This part-time day shift role (7:30am-5pm) involves coordinating patient care and executing physician and nursing orders within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will hold an Indiana RN license, have BLS certification (within 30 days of hire), and may include an instructor credential in Basic Life Support. Diploma in nursing is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date.
• One or more of the following: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date. Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date.

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following:
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
