Baylor Surgicare Cityview is hiring a Registered Nurse for Pre-Admission Testing. Monday through Friday shifts with no nights, weekends, or holidays, offering a supportive work-life balance and opportunities for professional growth.

The Pre Admissions Nurse coordinates nursing care, analyzes assessment data, and collaborates with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to plan and deliver optimal care. Comfort with age-specific patient needs is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• Current in BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical or perioperative setting.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and assess data to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Identify expected outcomes and develop a care plan with patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Implement interventions and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
• Document the care process with attention to patient age-specific needs.

The Pre Admissions Nurse is responsible for the teamwork and coordination of nursing care to include the collection and analysis of assessment data in determining nursing diagnosis, identification of expected outcomes and development of plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members as appropriate. The Pre Admissions Nurse identifies interventions to attain expected outcomes, implements the interventions identified in the plan of care, evaluates the progress of the patient/family toward attainment of outcomes, and documents the process. This care includes sensitivity to age specific and unique needs of the patient/family.
