Job summary

Baylor Surgicare Cityview is hiring a Registered Nurse Pre-Admission Testing. The role focuses on teamwork and coordination of nursing care, from assessment through plan of care in collaboration with patients and families within the perioperative setting.

Ideal candidates have an accredited RN degree, active Texas RN license, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS, with at least 2 years in a surgical or perioperative environment, strong assessment and communication skills, and the ability to work both

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical or perioperative setting.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse Pre-Admission Testing at Baylor Surgicare Cityview

The Pre Admissions Nurse is responsible for the teamwork and coordination of nursing care to include the collection and analysis of assessment data in determining nursing diagnosis, identification of expected outcomes and development of plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members as appropriate. The Pre Admissions Nurse identifies interventions to attain expected outcomes, implements the interventions identified in the plan of care, evaluates the progress of the patient/family toward attainment of outcomes, and documents the process. This care includes sensitivity to age specific and unique needs of the patient/family.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• Current in BLS, ACLS and PALS required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical or perioperative setting
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
