Job summary

Qualifications

• 8 weeks on the job training.
• Accredited nursing school.
• Ability to meet all orientation requirements.
• Ability to perform in fast-paced, stressful environment.
• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the NCSBN

Responsibilities

• Provide postpartum and well newborn care following vaginal deliveries or cesarean sections.
• Assist physicians during treatment and examinations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Supervise and orient nursing assistants to deliver patient care.
• Float within the MBU after six months of experience, and may work in other units as assigned.
