Palmetto General Hospital in Florida seeks an experienced nurse to deliver advanced care to women and well newborns after vaginal or cesarean deliveries. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, plan and supervise nursing assistants, and may float to MBU after six months of MBU experience. Flexibility for duties beyond regular hours is required.

The role emphasizes safety, patient comfort, and adherence to hospital policies and nursing processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Eight weeks on the job training.
Accredited nursing school.
Ability to meet all orientation requirements.
Ability to perform in fast-paced, stressful environment.
Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).

Responsabilités

Deliver advanced professional and technical nursing care for women of childbearing age and well newborns post-delivery and postpartum.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing nursing assistants.
Float within the MBU after six months of experience in MBU.
May be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty or in another unit as assigned.
