Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Holds a current BLS card from the American Heart Association.
• Holds a current Non-Crisis Prevention Intervention card within 6 months if new to area.
• Holds a current NRP card within 3 months if new to area.
• Eight weeks on the job training.
• Ability to meet all orientation requirements.
• Ability to perform in fast-paced, stressful environment.
• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced professional and technical nursing care to women of childbearing age and well newborns post-delivery.
• Assist physicians during treatment and examination of patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing nursing assistants to provide care to multiple patients.
• Float within the MBU floating cluster after six months of experience in MBU.
• May work beyond regular hours or transfer to other units as assigned.
