Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Surgical Unit (PSU) for a PRN opportunity in Dallas, TX. The RN will plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for post-surgical patients, ensuring high-quality and safe delivery of care in line with Joint Commission and state standards.

Responsibilities include responding to patient needs, performing the MSE as delegated, and maintaining clinical excellence in a fast-paced PSU

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• RN license current in the State of Texas.
• BLS certification is required or as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for post-surgical patients.
• Respond to patients with healthcare needs and perform the Medical Screening Exam as delegated.

is a joint venture surgical hospital between Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH), United Surgical Partners International (USPI), and local physicians. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Uptown provides a wide range of medical and surgical services for to the greater North Texas area across 8 ORs, 24 private Inpatient rooms, a full-service ED. The hospital specializes in both inpatient and outpatient procedures in Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, General, Bariatrics, Surgical Oncology, ENT, Reconstructive Surgery, and other surgical specialties.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Uptown is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Surgical Unit (PSU) Department for a PRN opportunity

The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He/she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, The Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care. This position is assigned to respond to patients presenting to facility with a healthcare need and will provide the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
